How to use the calculator

Enter the outward distance of your journey in miles. You can use the driving distance shown by your map app.
Choose single, return, airport single or airport return. For returns, add the return pickup date and time.
Choose your pickup date and time. Use UK local time; the correct tariff is selected automatically.
Add any expected waiting time in minutes, or leave it at 0.
Press Calculate estimated fare to see the price. If you change any details, press the button again.

Journey type

For return journeys, enter both pickup dates and times. Airport return journeys receive 10% off the combined outward and return estimated fare; other returns are charged without this discount. Mileage below is for the outward leg; return mileage defaults to the same distance. Airport parking and other agreed extras are quoted separately.

Each started distance unit is charged. Tariff 1 waiting / working time applies when the vehicle is stationary.

When each tariff applies

Tariff 1: Normal rate outside the periods below.
Tariff 2: 11pm to 7am on any day; bank holidays and the immediately preceding Sunday; Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve until 6pm.
Tariff 3: 6pm on 24 December to 8am on 27 December; and 6pm on 31 December to 7am on 2 January.

The next tariff applies from its exact starting time. Tariff 3 takes priority during its stated periods.

Extra charges

Domestic animals: £1.50 each, carried at the driver’s discretion. Soiling by a customer or domestic animal: a charge not exceeding £75.00. These extras are not included in the calculator estimate.

During extreme or severe weather, Tariff 2 may be applied only with written permission from the Local Authority. This special permission is not selected automatically by the calculator.
